Adding All Project Online Sites to SharePoint Online Backup Content

You can add all project web app sites to the backup content for a SharePoint Online app.

Before You Begin

  • The Office 365 plan that you specify in this procedure must have backup for Project Online sites enabled. For more information, see Enabling Backup for Project Online Sites.

  • To add Project Online sites to the SharePoint Online app, verify that you have a Project license-enabled service account with SharePoint or Global admin permissions added to the app. You can add the service account from the app page, on the Configuration tab, in the SharePoint connection settings tile.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.

    The Office 365 Overview page appears.

  2. On the Apps tab, click the app.

    The Overview page of the app appears.

  3. On the Content tab, at the upper-right area of the page, click Add.

    The Configure Content page appears.

  4. Select Add content to backup, and then click Next.

    The Add Content tool appears.

  5. Under Advanced, select All Project Online sites, and then click Next.

    All Project Online sites that are discovered will be added to the content. That process might take some time, depending on the size. When the discovery job is complete, the Office 365 Plan tab appears.

  6. In the Office 365 plan list, select the plan you want to use to back up all Project Online sites, and then click Next.

    The Summary tab appears.

  7. Click Submit.
